A fortified island village, and a royal residence on the Adriatic

Utterly unique, as one would expect from the Aman group, this exceptional hotel is set on its very own private island in the Adriatic Sea.

What was once a 15th-century fishing village has now been transformed into a chic resort with some 58 ‘dwellings’. This sleek coastal retreat is attached to the mainland by a narrow isthmus, with lots of original stone, 600-year-old tiled roofs and shady courtyards joined by cobbled lanes.

Aman Sveti Stefan guests can choose to relax at the resort’s completely private beach, or head to two others which are predominantly used by guests of the hotel.

Accommodation

Each of the rooms offers an exclusive space in which to recline in style, meaning our Travel Specialists can match you to your perfect suite; whether your preference is a sea view, large open terrace or even the stunning Sveti Stefan Suite which occupies space over two floors and boasts its own private swimming pool. There is also the Villa Milocer, where you can book a private suite or the property in its entirety. Once the summer residence of Queen Marija Karadordevic, this stunning villa is situated on the mainland above Milocer Beach and offers access to Queen’s Beach in a neighbouring cove.

The Wellbeing Difference

So many restaurants to choose from

Arva

Spanning two-tiered terraces on Sveti Stefan Island, with a sea view from every table, Arva is a fine-dining experience inspired by the culinary heritage and convivial dining culture of Italy. Open for dinner from May to October, Arva’s kitchen transforms the finest of Montenegro’s seasonal ingredients into satisfying sharing platters and boldly flavoured fresh pasta, seafood dishes and organic vegetables.

Rakija Bar

The quintessential spot to admire the sun setting over the sea and watch the lights of Budva town twinkling across the water, Rakija is Sveti Stefan Island’s main bar. Attached to Arva restaurant, it offers an extensive and inventive signature cocktail menu that celebrates local spirits – such as the rakija fruit brandy that gives the bar its name.

Villa Milocer Restaurant

Open for all-day dining year-round, the restaurant on the mainland is spread over an indoor dining room and a wisteria-draped loggia for dining alfresco, looking out over King’s Beach and its azure sea. The menu promises a tasting tour of the Adriatic, taking in classic and contemporary dishes from across the region.

The wine of Aman Sveti Stefan

Montenegro’s rare Vranac vines produces a unique dry red wine, with an extraordinary flavour distinct to the Balkans. A distant ancestor of zinfandel and primitivo, the grape’s name means ‘black stallion’ – a nod to its powerful flavour. In collaboration with local winemaker Goran Radevic of the Radevic Estate, Aman is proud to help preserve this exceptional variety in its signature wine, Aman Sveti Stefan Vranac – available to enjoy at all restaurants.

The Piazza

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Piazza is the social hub of life on Sveti Stefan Island, where guests come to dine, drink and relax in an enchanting open-air setting. It comprises a quartet of venues, including a bar, enoteca, which celebrates local wines; antipasti bar, and taverna, which serves rustic Mediterranean menus showcasing fresh organic produce.

Cliff Pool Bar

Set beside the idyllic adults-only infinity pool on Sveti Island, the Cliff Pool Bar serves light snacks and refreshments throughout the day. Surrounded by pine trees, the bar and poolside take in the sublime panorama of the Adriatic and Budva Bay, making this especially well suited to special events and celebrations.

Queen’s Beach Grill

Available only to resort guests, the grill is a casual dining venue at Queen's Beach. Serving fresh Mediterranean fare including pizza, fresh salads, and fish and seafood cooked to order, the Queen’s Beach kitchen is ideal for a laidback lunch at the beach.
