After a total reimagining, Preskil reopened last year as a fresh and contemporary island-style retreat. Here, lime-green palms tower over charming thatched buildings and white sandy pathways lead out onto a gorgeous beach, where the water is Tiffany-blue. The resort’s location is incredible. Day Trek in Black River Gorges National Park

Dance Sega

The music began as a folkloric custom, but the rattle and goatskin drum-driven music still has a very danceable place in today’s island scene.
