One of the world’s most far flung destinations, nestled in the Indian Ocean, the island of Praslin is the launch point for a myriad of activities and home to natural wonders such as amazing UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Despite space though, this Raffles resort is small and intimate, making the service very personal. The Raffles Spa features 13 spa treatment pavilions, including two spa suites fitted with steam showers, Japanese soaking tubs, and observation decks to enjoy vistas in absolute privacy. The hotel can arrange picnics at the beach, in the garden or atop a granite boulder, a dinner on board a yacht, or a barbecue feast in-villa, in addition to the 24-hour in-room dining service. Children will love the Sugar Palm Club, from tots to teens, including babysitting, sand castle building and movie screenings. Restaurants combine a global offering for the tastebuds alongside local specialities, served with fine wines and exotic cocktails. Creole cooking or cocktail-making classes can also be arranged.

Activities

Cool off with two beautiful infinity pools, or let go of your troubles at the soothing Raffles Spa, offering 12 treatment pavilions, including a couples’ spa suite. Resort activities include hiking, biking and watersports such as snorkelling, kayaking, sailing, diving and fishing. There’s also the excellent Sugar Palm Club, with separate areas for teenagers, children aged 4-12 yrs and infants. Golf is available at an 18-hole championship course nearby, or you can take advantage of the complimentary Raffles bicycles to explore the island; we recommend the hilly, but rewarding, ride to Anse Lazio beach, a picture-perfect paradise of soft white sands, framed by classic Seychellois granite boulders.

Gastronomy

Curieuse Restaurant

A gastronomic journey tracing through India, China and South East Asia, Curieuse, led by Chef de Cuisine Sunil Dutt, is the Seychelles’ only Asian restaurant. Infused with oriental spice and aromatic ingredients, the menu varies from Thai salads and spicy sour soup to Indian curries and traditional Chinese stir-fries.

Losean

Start the day with an enticing spread of breakfast classics, from fruit and cereal to pastries and Continental meats and cheeses, with a live noodle station and eggs made to order.

Come evening and Losean becomes an elegant dinner setting, with tables both inside and out in the gardens, candlelit and accompanied by the sounds of the sea.

Sushi Room

In a location famed for its fresh fish, The Sushi Room at Curieuse celebrates the island’s world-class catch with an exciting menu of sushi and sashimi.

Pool Restaurant

Showcasing fresh, local products and light cuisine, the Pool Restaurant & Bar offers a casual lunch setting, perfect for refuelling during a busy day of soaking up the Seychellois sun.

Danzil Bar

Taking its name from a local promontory, Danzil serves perfectly prepared drinks against a backdrop of inspiring views towards the ocean. Choose from a rich selection of fine wines, rums, spirits and skillfully-made tropical cocktails.
