Find yourself at one of the four corners of the Earth. Fogo Island Inn sits on an island, off an island, at one of the four corners of the Earth. Every one of the 29 one-of-a-kind guest rooms and suites has dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto the wildest and most powerful ocean on the planet. A stimulating relief from the numbing uniformity of modern times, the award-winning Inn is built on the principles of sustainability and respect for nature and culture. The Inn is a community asset, and 100% of operating surpluses are reinvested into the community to help secure a sustainable and resilient future for Fogo Island, Newfoundland.
The Resort
The suites are spread across four storeys, with first floor suites providing a connection with the rock and sea and fourth floor suites featuring soaring ceilings and wood burning stoves.
The dining room is your window to the edge of the wild North Atlantic, encased in full-height glass windows and with vaulted ceilings. Here you can watch icebergs bobbing on the water or the full force of winter storms rolling in while enjoying creative dishes inspired by locally grown produce and fresh caught seafood. A Fogo Island Inn holiday isn’t just about the spectacular architecture, luxurious accommodation and exceptional food and service; it’s also about gaining an insight in to life on this remote but accessible island.
The activities and adventures available at Fogo Island Inn showcase the island’s diverse flora and fauna, with unique wildlife experiences from spotting Atlantic puffins and caribou to taking to the water in search of seals and whales. Direct from the hotel there are over 125-miles of paths and hiking trails taking you over rugged terrain, where wildflowers and berries carpet the island in late summer through to Autumn.
